Foster Grandparent Program Wesley Family Services

Program Overview

The Foster Grandparent Program is a stipend volunteer program that provides volunteer opportunities to limited income individuals age 55 and over, connecting generations, while improving educational outcomes for children in need.

Our volunteers serve as classroom grandparents who are mentors and positive role models at local non-profit organizations such as: public and private schools, Head Starts, daycares and child development centers, in addition to after-school programs. They help, guide, and assist children by developing skills in literacy, language, math, and cognitive development, as well as improving essential social and emotional intelligence.

Volunteer

We are currently looking for volunteers to participate in the program as well as non-profit child-serving organizations to host our volunteers in our 6 County region:

Allegheny
Butler

Beaver

Now, more than ever, our children need additional support to help them thrive. Help us make a difference in the lives of children in your community by becoming a volunteer or host organization. You will have the unique and rewarding experience by providing children the building blocks of success in development, learning, and life skills.
